ALL STAR HOT DOG STAND
Our All Star Hot Dog Stand operates on the front lawn of 1011 S. Main Street, located less than 100 yards from the University of Michigan Football Stadium. Special People and volunteers sell hot dogs, pop, chips and candy at each U of M home football game. In early November we receive hardship letters from several special education teachers in Washtenaw County. From the many hardship letters we make decisions about the appropriate use of the proceeds and give back to our community.
VICTORS DAY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN
Each year, the T. Wall Foundation hosts Victors Day, a beloved event that brings together University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University athletes with over 700 special students from across Washtenaw County. Held at the Oosterbaan Field House in Ann Arbor and co-sponsored by U of M Best Buddies, this uplifting day offers special students the chance to engage in a variety of sports activities—putting, dribbling basketballs, rowing, catching softballs, and more—while building unforgettable connections with collegiate athletes.

Dream Game Experience
The T. Wall Foundation’s Dream Game Experience offers special needs students and their families the unforgettable opportunity to attend major University of Michigan sporting events. Whether it's cheering on the Wolverines at a football game in the Big House or supporting the basketball team at Crisler Center, these experiences create lasting memories and bring immense joy to participants.
This program not only provides access to exciting games but also fosters a sense of inclusion and community. For many students, attending a live game is a dream come true, and the Foundation is proud to make these dreams a reality.

KIWANIS HOLIDAY SHOPPING
Each holiday season, the T. Wall Foundation partners with the Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor to host a special Shopping Day at the Kiwanis Thrift Sale. On this exclusive day, the store opens its doors solely to families supported by the Foundation, providing them with the opportunity to select essential items such as clothing, winter coats, boots, mattresses, beds, couches, and household goods. Volunteer shopping buddies assist parents in choosing items that best meet their family's needs. All purchases are fully funded by the T. Wall Foundation, ensuring families can shop without financial burden.
This event not only supplies families with necessary items but also fosters a sense of community and dignity during the holiday season. By collaborating with Kiwanis, the Foundation helps create a warm and supportive environment where families can experience the joy of giving and receiving.
MEIJER HOLIDAY SHOPPING
Every holiday season, the T. Wall Foundation partners with Meijer to host one of its most impactful and heartfelt initiatives: the Meijer Holiday Shopping Day. Designed to serve families facing financial hardship, this event provides a meaningful opportunity to shop for essential items—ranging from clothing and winter gear to food, bedding, and toys—just in time for the holidays.
What sets this event apart is its deeply personal approach. Families are selected through hardship letters submitted by local special education teachers, ensuring that those most in need receive support. Each family is paired with a dedicated volunteer who guides them through their shopping experience with compassion and care, helping to select items that best suit their immediate needs. All purchases are fully covered by the T. Wall Foundation.
In 2023 alone, this event supported over 25 families—providing not just groceries and gifts, but peace of mind, dignity, and the ability to celebrate the season with joy. For many, it’s the difference between struggle and stability during one of the most emotionally and financially demanding times of the year.
The Meijer Holiday Shopping Day is a powerful expression of the Foundation’s mission to meet families where they are and walk alongside them with generosity and respect. It’s a reminder that small acts of kindness—when thoughtfully organized—can create lasting change. Help us bring comfort, joy, and real support to families who need it most.
T. WALL B-BALL
Our T. Wall B-Ball event as been in existence for over 23 years. A special spirit bonds the students with over 400 Special Athletes as they buddy up for a day of carnival events and a 3-on-3 basketball tournament. The Special Athletes receive a t-shirt, prizes (cakes from the cakewalk), trophies, and a complete lunch. But the biggest reward is the happy faces and high fives that are shared throughout the day.
END OF YEAR PARTY
The T. Wall Foundation’s End of Year Celebration is a festive gathering that honors the special needs students and families we support. Filled with fun activities, music, food, and surprises, the event celebrates community and the year’s achievements. It’s a joyful occasion to create lasting memories, thank families and volunteers, and share the foundation’s commitment to inclusion and empowerment. This celebration reflects the heart of our mission—to bring happiness and connection to those we serve. Each year, it renews our dedication to building a supportive and inclusive community for all.
